1. What is My NPSI?
My NPSI is an initiative to improve accessibility to relevant content and material generated by the organization. The basic idea is to film various events, such as scientific meetings, which can then be housed on a website (Vimeo) and viewed remotely. This endeavor will generate a modest revenue stream, but the primary function is to provide a level of convenience for members and non-members to participate despite barriers to access such as time constraints, distance, etc. In turn, this will help drive renewed engagement and potential new membership. In the future, NPSI may also be able to leverage the digital content platform for other purposes (i.e. distance learning programs).
2. How will I access recordings?
A web link will be provided to individuals who have purchased My NPSI content via email. Credentials (a password) will also be provided in order to view the video content.
3. How much does is cost to view recordings?
Fees for accessing high quality video recordings vary depending on whether you’ve attended the meeting or are viewing for the first time online. If you purchase an annual pass, fees are less than for viewing a single meeting.
A. If you’ve attended the scientific meeting, you may view the recording of that event online using your own computer for $4 if you are a member, or for $5 if you are a non-member.
B. If you want to view the recording from your own computer the fee is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
C. If you want to have unlimited access to My NPSI recordings throughout the calendar year, the cost is $100 for members and $125 for non-members.
4. Will I receive CEUs for viewing My NPSI recordings?
Yes, if you are a mental health professional licensed in the State of Washington (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT). Unfortunately, we cannot provide CMEs for MDs. If you have attended a scientific meeting you will be sent a link for evaluating the meeting. After completion of the brief evaluation you will be able to print your own CEU certificate. If you have not attended the scientific meeting and are accessing it for the first time online, the procedure will be similar. After viewing the recording, you will be able to fill out an online evaluation and print your own CEU certificate.
5. I’m aware that NPSI candidates or analysts-in-training can attend scientific meetings at no charge. Are recordings also free for me if I’m a candidate?
No. However, if you are an NPSI candidate and have attended a scientific meeting in person you can view the recording of that meeting for $4. Candidates who have not attended the meeting in person, you can view the recording for the member price of $20.
6. Who should I contact if I have additional questions about My NPSI?
Contact NPSI Administrator, Hollee Sweet, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (206) 930-2886.
