Supporting our members, offering outstanding psychoanalytic training to mental health professionals, and educating the general public about psychoanalysis since 1999.
NPSI Study Groups are small, interactive learning experiences offered by NPSI faculty for members and the broader professional community, including psychoanalysts and psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapists. Conducted online via Zoom, these groups typically meet once a month for 90 minutes and may span several months or an entire academic year. Study Group topics reflect contemporary developments in analytic theory as well as specialized areas of clinical practice, often extending or deepening themes introduced in Scientific Meetings. All Study Groups are reviewed and approved by NPSI’s Continuing Education Committee to ensure their relevance, rigor, and clinical value.
These small, interactive sessions provide participants with the opportunity to engage directly with faculty and peers, fostering dialogue, reflection, and practical application of psychoanalytic concepts in clinical work. Study Groups encourage collaborative exploration of theoretical and clinical material, creating a rich environment for learning and professional growth within the psychoanalytic community.
