Specialty/Practice Description:
Psychotherapy and Clinical Consultation in Seattle, WA
I have a solo practice located in the South Lake Union area of Seattle, where I see adults facing a variety of issues and concerns. Previous to private practice, I worked in community mental health, in a hospital setting—and previous to my clinical training— for a variety of non-profit organizations. In addition to offering psychotherapy, I also offer consultation to both individuals and groups. Finally, I am a group psychotherapist, with special interest in how unconscious material arises and gets acted out within group settings. An area of special interest for me is working with people who have experienced both childhood trauma and severe trauma in adulthood, including how to cultivate a sense of internal space and safety amidst powerful currents of emotion and thought. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in Washington State. My Master’s Degree is from the University Of Chicago, and I have taken part in ongoing and intensive training during and since that time.
In addition to being a candidate at NPSI, I am also a member in good standing with the American Psychological Association (APA), American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work (WSSCSW), Northwest Alliance For Psychoanalytic Study (NWAPS), Society for the Exploration Of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI), Puget Sound Psychotherapy Network (PSGPN), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
